The bald server was very rude. Wanted 10% Tip and lied about it being a german law, which is not true.

The restaurant became a rurist trap. Service is awful and they forced us to leave a 10% tip. Very bad and disapointed experience especially while with kids and for Christmas Eve

Insgesamt war unser Besuch in diesem Restaurant sehr angenehm. Die Speisen, die wir bestellt haben, waren geschmacklich wirklich sehr lecker. Wir haben uns für das „WIENER SCHNITZEL vom MILCHKALB“ sowie die „BRANDENBURGER LANDENTE“ entschieden. Beide Gerichte waren hervorragend zubereitet und sehr empfehlenswert. Eine Reservierung ist dringend zu empfehlen, besonders an großen Feiertagen wie Weihnachten, da viele Gäste mit Familie oder Freunden zum Abendessen kommen und das Restaurant schnell ausgebucht ist. In der Menükarte wird bereits darauf hingewiesen, dass bestimmte Desserts, wie zum Beispiel Kaiserschmarrn, am besten direkt im Voraus bestellt werden sollten, da die Zubereitungszeit etwa 30 Minuten beträgt. Auch andere Desserts benötigen etwas Zeit, weshalb Geduld vonseiten der Gäste gefragt ist. Der Service war dabei stets sehr freundlich und verständnisvoll. Selbst bei längeren Wartezeiten zeigen sich die Mitarbeiter weder unfreundlich noch genervt, auch wenn ein Dessert am Ende eventuell storniert werden muss. Wir persönlich hatten genügend Geduld und haben unser Abendessen in vollen Zügen genossen bis zum krönenden Abschluss mit unserem Nachtisch: Apfelstrudel mit Vanillesoße, der das Essen perfekt abgerundet hat.

Das Essen war gut, aber der Service war sehr enttäuschend. Ein Kellner reagierte unhöflich und lautstark, nachdem ich kein Trinkgeld gegeben hatte. Dieses Verhalten ist inakzeptabel und hat den Gesamteindruck stark verschlechtert.

Ein typisches, recht gemütliches Restaurant mit akzeptabler, umfangreicher, bayerischer Küche, freundlicher, aufmerksamer Bedienung und kompletter Bierauswahl der Augustiner Brauerei, deren Bier nun einmal sehr gut mundet. Preislich für Mitte durchaus einladend.

We had a really good time in Augustiner am Gendarmenkmarkt in Berlin. The staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. Unfortunately, we don't know the waiter's name who served us; he was amazing.The food was very tasty.We will go for dinner tomorrow as well.We found our place in Berlin where we can experience the authenticity of German food. Definitely recommend.

Der Service war noch nie so mittelmäßig. Die Haxe, die wir immer essen, war zu trocken und nicht besonders gewürzt. Wir kommen seit Jahren am 24.12. Schade!!!

Very friendly with a great lively atmosphere. The Schweinhaxe was absolutely fabulous but I just couldn’t eat it all as it was so big which is very unusual for me. A truest great last meal to remember our trip to Berlin.

We had a booking for 8pm, arrived a few mins early but it took until 8.20 until we were seated. We were seated at the end of a corridor where there was no atmosphere. Drinks were ordered but nobody would take our food order for another 20 minutes - was this just to get us to drink more? Our food eventually arrived 1 hour after we sat down. The food was good but the service terrible. When tables were wiped the food and napkins were swept to the floor. A waiter broke a glass but left the glass on the floor. We even had to pay to use the bathroom. When we paid the bill we were asked by the waiter to add a tip which we declined and then we were ignored. The place is very popular and busy and it feels like the staff don’t consider they need to make any effort. But the food was good and large portions although when we ordered the specials we were told they had all gone.

I love this atmosphere paired with Bavarian culture and taste...the service is so kind and friendly and you never run out of beer ;-) The food is fantastic and gives you the full flavour of Germany´s south. And Augustiner beer is the best you kind find of type "Helles"...love it

Nice authentic and apparently a very popular restaurant (two shifts, lines outside, reservation necessary). This was the place I learned to appreciate Sauerkraut during a trip to Berlin years ago! The food is good although not as special as I remembered but paying for the toilets as a guest…that’s not very hospitable! The lady did a good job keeping the place clean though.
