Augustiner am Gendarmenmarkt

We had a booking for 8pm, arrived a few mins early but it took until 8.20 until we were seated. We were seated at the end of a corridor where there was no atmosphere. Drinks were ordered but nobody would take our food order for another 20 minutes - was this just to get us to drink more? Our food eventually arrived 1 hour after we sat down. The food was good but the service terrible. When tables were wiped the food and napkins were swept to the floor. A waiter broke a glass but left the glass on the floor. We even had to pay to use the bathroom. When we paid the bill we were asked by the waiter to add a tip which we declined and then we were ignored. The place is very popular and busy and it feels like the staff don’t consider they need to make any effort. But the food was good and large portions although when we ordered the specials we were told they had all gone.

Klassisches Bierrestaurant. Es ist unbedingt erforderlich, abends einen Tisch zu reservieren.

I love this atmosphere paired with Bavarian culture and taste...the service is so kind and friendly and you never run out of beer ;-) The food is fantastic and gives you the full flavour of Germany´s south. And Augustiner beer is the best you kind find of type "Helles"...love it

Questa volta con la mia compagna,… molto soddisfatti entrambi,… la qualità non si commenta,… sempre alta… il servizio spartano ma soddisfacente… un riferimento fis de i ogni volta che sono a Berlino.

Das Essen war super, aber hochpreisig. Der Service war gut, allerdings wurden wir nach dem Essen nicht mehr bedient.

Nice authentic and apparently a very popular restaurant (two shifts, lines outside, reservation necessary). This was the place I learned to appreciate Sauerkraut during a trip to Berlin years ago! The food is good although not as special as I remembered but paying for the toilets as a guest…that’s not very hospitable! The lady did a good job keeping the place clean though.

We were perfectly on time for our reservation, yet there was a 20 min queue. Which made us miss our reservation by 2 minutes. The waiter said our table was giving away. Making us sit next to the door, with people queuing, coming in and outside and in the freezing cold of the open door. Not coming back for sure

Vom Ambiente her tatsächlich so, wie eine bayerische Wirtschaft (bin selbst Bayer), gestört hat nur die penetrante bayerische Humtata-Musik - eher kitschig. Sehr stark besucht, entsprechend hoher Lärmpegel. Essen und Bier nicht ganz billig, aber einwandfrei. Irritiert hat mich, dass eine Reservierung nur 1,5 Std gilt . dann hat man den Platz wieder zu verlassen. Wirkt wie Massenabfertigung. Der Service der Bedienung war eigentlich sehr gut, geärgert hat mich aber die Forderung der Reinigungskraft bei der Toilette. Waren zwar "nur" 50 Cent, aber für einen (nicht gerade wenig) zahlenden Gast, finde ich die kostenlose Toilettennutzung selbstverständlich.

The food was simple but tasty, we were informed that there’s a table reservation following ours so we had two hours only, since this is a popular place we can understand, but the attitude of the waiters and host was somewhat stressing. Anyway we had a good time and the food was quite good, also the beer I ordered was lager with lemon and it was a refreshing and surprisingly tasty experience

Das Speisenangebot war sehr breit und das Essen war sehr lecker und reichhaltig. Leider bekamen wir im Ergebnis der online Buchung Plätze im unmittelbaren Eingangsbereich zugewiesen. Es war fürchterlich kalt, da die Eingangstür immer offen stand, da viele Gäste kamen. Unseren Wunsch nach einem anderen Tisch hat man abgelehnt. Obwohl die Gaststätte zwei Eingangstüren hintereinander hat, faktisch eine Schleuße besitzt, wurde dies NICHT !! genutzt. Eine inakzeptable Art, für eine schöne Atmosphäre in der Gaststätte zu sorgen, zumal auch die hohe Lautstärke absolut störend war. Das war alles schon mal besser...

Quando è tutto pieno non riescono a cucinare come dovrebbero. Carne troppo cotta! Il servizio in affanno: uno dei tre piatti arrivato mezz'ora dopo gli altri!

Freundlicher und sympathischer Service. Die Speisen haben richtig gut Qualität. Alles funktioniert bestens. Was will man mehr! Wir waren schon ein paar mal da und werden sicherlich wieder kommen.

Zu wenig Bedienungspersonal, zu laut, Essen war ok Kaiserschmarren war verbrannt Haxe war knusprig aber da fehlte Würze Schnitzel war sehr gut.

Die Musik war etwas zu laut dadurch hat die Bedienung einen auch nicht verstanden. Und die Portionen waren relativ klein.

Essen kam sehr schnell. Es war alles sehr lecker. Sehr freundliches Personal.

Die Bedienung war freundlich und schnell. Das Augustiner ist letzt endlich eine Systemgastronomie die Ihre Speisen teuer Verkauft aber die Qualität noch vorhanden ist.Der Beilagensalat war ohne Würze , lieblos angerichtet Speisen, Der Semmelknödel war fest und ohne Geschmack. Die Speisen sind nicht zu empfehlen .

Das Essen(Schweinsbraten) war ausgezeichntet, unser Tisch im Eingangsbereich war eine Zumutung - die Eingangstüre war permanent durch die wartenden Gästen offen und dadurch bekamen wir die kalte Zugluft dauernd zu spüren!

Das Augustiner ist beliebt und immer komplett voll. Es ist zwar sehr laut aber immer wieder ein schöner Abend

Gute bayerisches Küche. Wir haben nach Nachfrage den reservierten Tisch tauschen können. Da wir nicht in der Mitte des Raumes sitzen wollten. Die Bedienung war nett und schnell. Also insgesamt ein netter Aufenthalt den man weiterempfehlen kann!

Mega voll , Mega laut , Essen super lecker … und trotz voll super schnell bedient …
